Honestly, I didn’t learn much of anything from Revenge of the Sith.   I even had to go online just to remember the title.

I am of course referring to Episode / Issue 3 of MetaMediocrity, and here’s what I learned.  There pressure of having already recorded the talky parts of the episode is not sufficient enough for me to polish and record the fiction in a timely manner.  Therefore, from here on out I’m going to wait until the fiction is in the can before scheduling the blah blah blah session.  That may not make the episodes publish any sooner, but it will make the discussions more timely.

I know the next episode isn’t up yet.  I know it’s lame, and I apologize.

This month I’ve got to take one of those professional certification exams for the daily grind, and it’s wicked hard.  Not hard in a “I’m a smart guy” way, but hard in a “we deem you unworthy of existence” sort of way.  It’s based on rote memorization of terminology and policies, and not skills or logic.  That spells trouble for me.

Once this is past (or I have to retake it again), I’ll get back to publishing episodes.  Promise.

The sad part is that the blah-blah-blah for this episode is already done.  I’m going to have to stop recording those in advance.

OK - my sincere apologies for this very tardy episode.  As you will hear in the talky parts, this episode was recorded quite a while ago.  What held up the works was the fiction.  I got slammed at work along with seriously underestimating a statistics class I was taking.  Additionally, I got a cold and didn’t have a recording voice for a few weeks.

Excuses aside, here’s Issue Two.  I don’t intend to make the next wait as long.

• Kingfish just discovered the Wish List feature on Tivo.
• Kingfish has stumbled into a weekly Warcraft 3 pickup game (we has since moved to Neverwinter Nights)
• Jordan / Ambidexter is addicted to mini Flash games, namely Swords and Sandals.
• Writing - fictional locations versus real world locations.
• Confucious say “Never give your laptop to a teenager with behavior problems.”
• Kingfish say “The new Norton Antivirus is bloatware.” Avoid at all costs.
• Jordan lost serious geek cred by downloading a virus.
• State bureaucracy is goofy.

Wow - Here it is, the first official episode!  November 1 got here faster that I expected.
